Hasbro Interactive is behind the announcement. Hasbro Interactive announced the launch of Civilization II: Test of Time, the newest interactive game to carry on the best-selling and award-winning Civilization franchise.

Civilization II: Test of Time allows players to develop powerful empires from the ground up and then travel to new worlds to continue the epic journey into the unknown. Civilization II: Test of Time builds upon the classic strategic gameplay with the addition of two entirely new universes of science fiction and fantasy, complete with unique terrains, graphics and technology trees to map cultural progress.

PC hardware is moving stupid fast right now, and this is one more part of that arms race.
