SimCity 3000 goes gold

Electronic Arts today announced that SimCity 3000, the third generation in the multimillion selling SimCity game line, will begin shipping to stores in the United States on Jan. 26 and should begin appearing on shelves by Feb. 2. The game is also expected to be available in Europe in February. Electronic Arts, the world’s leading interactive entertainment software company, said the launch of the highly anticipated game will be the company’s largest ever for a PC title.
