About This Game

Hercules no Eikou II: Taitan no Metsubou is a role-playing game developed and published by Data East for the Famicom in 1989. The sequel to Hercules no Eikou (Glory of Heracles), it places the player in the role of a hero tasked with stopping monsters from taking over the world, recruiting companions as the journey unfolds. Like its predecessor, the game draws on Greek mythology for its setting and remains exclusive to Japan, featuring turn-based combat and a sprawling world map.

In 2026, Hamster brought the game to modern platforms through its Console Archives series. This version adds save states, CRT visual filters, controller remapping, and an English user interface and manual, though the in-game text is left untranslated. The reissue marks the first time the title has been officially available outside of its original Famicom release.
