Crazy Taxi: World Tour
Crazy Taxi: World Tour is a driving action game developed by SEGA and directed by original Crazy Taxi creator Kenji Kanno, announced at the Xbox Games Showcase in June 2026 and scheduled for release in 2027. It is the first new mainline Crazy Taxi game since Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller in 2002.
The game follows series protagonist Axel across a story-driven campaign spanning five cities around the world, chasing masked villains who stole his taxi. The Offspring track 'All I Want' featured in the announcement trailer, continuing the franchise's association with licensed punk and alternative rock soundtracks. Multiplayer modes support both local and online play. A Classic Arcade Mode is included for players who want the structure of the original games without the campaign framing. Vehicle customization and unlockable cars are part of the progression system.
Kenji Kanno helmed the original 1999 arcade release and the 2000 Dreamcast port, which became one of the console's standout titles. His return to the franchise after more than two decades is the headline creative detail of the announcement.
Crazy Taxi: World Tour releases on Xbox Series X|S, PC via Xbox app and Steam, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. It is an Xbox Play Anywhere title. No price has been announced.
