Crazy Taxi: World Tour
Crazy Taxi: World Tour is an upcoming entry in Sega's Crazy Taxi series, announced as part of the company's 2023 legacy-IP revival initiative and shown during the Xbox Games Showcase in 2026. The original Crazy Taxi debuted in arcades in 1999 and became a defining Dreamcast title, tasking players with ferrying passengers to their destinations against a countdown timer through open city environments, scored on speed and stylish, reckless driving and set to a licensed punk-rock soundtrack.
World Tour expands that premise beyond a single city. Sega has described it as an open-world, next-generation multiplayer take on the formula, with destinations set across multiple locations around the world rather than one map. It represents the series' first major new installment in many years.
As of mid-2026, Crazy Taxi: World Tour is targeted for a 2027 release on Xbox Series X|S and PC. It is one of several dormant Sega franchises being revived alongside Golden Axe, Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, and Streets of Rage. A planned larger initiative once associated with the project, reported internally as Super Game, was said to have been cancelled, though Sega has confirmed the individual revivals, including Crazy Taxi, are continuing.
