If the star pitcher can hit one home run this season, Microsoft will make a $25,000 donation to his favorite charity, Leiter’s Landing. Established in 1997, Leiter’s Landing started with Al taking inner city kids to Florida Marlins games. As his career has grown so has the charity, and he now takes over 500 kids to New York Mets games each year, in addition to making charitable financial contributions. Al graces the cover of Microsoft Baseball 2000, featuring all the teams, stadiums and players of Major League Baseball.
