EA to Develop Interactive Figure Skating Game gets a June 1999 update. Electronic Arts announced it has signed an agreement for the exclusive interactive entertainment rights to figure skating champion Michelle Kwan.
Michelle Kwan Championship Figure Skating (working title) for the PC will be available in time for the 1999 holidays. The new game targets eight to thirteen year-old girls, and marks the first time an EA game has specifically targeted this demographic group. Financial terms of the three year agreement were not disclosed. Michelle Kwan Championship Figure Skating allows girls to create their own choreographed routines, design their own costumes, choose their music, select arenas from around the world and even create and print scrapbooks of their skating careers and email highlights of their performances to family and friends.
