Maxis announced the long-awaited SimCity Building Architect Tool (BAT) will be released on June 16 and will be available exclusively from the official SimCity Web site.

SimCity 3000 Architect Tool is official. Maxis announced the long-awaited SimCity Building Architect Tool (BAT) will be released on June 16 and will be available exclusively from the official SimCity Web site.

The BAT will let users build and decorate new buildings for SimCity 3000 that can be used to replace buildings in the game. The tool, which acts as an easy-to-use 3-D modeling program, allows for the creation of everything from houses and small shops to factories and skyscrapers. Users of SimCity 2000 may recall the popular SimCity Urban Renewal Kit (SCURK) which provided painting tools to create buildings for SimCity 2000.
