Matrox G200 OpenGL ICD Beta Released

The important bit: Matrox released the G200 OpenGL ICD Beta. The ICD Beta1 release offers support for six OpenGL-based games under Windows 98/95 including, Quake II, Quake, Half Life, Sin, Heretic II and Hexen II.

3Dfx sells over 1 Million Voodoo Banshees

The important bit: 3Dfx Interactive announced it has shipped more than 1 million Voodoo Banshee chips, the company's acclaimed high-performance integrated 3D and 2D graphics chip designed for mass-market applications, which began shipping in August.
