Ubisoft Confirms Original Rayman Legends Isn’t Being Delisted for Retold

Ubisoft has told a fan on social media that the original Rayman Legends will not be delisted when the Rayman Legends Retold remake arrives in October 2026. The promise is brief, but it’s more than most publishers offer.

Ubisoft says the original Rayman Legends won’t be delisted when the upcoming remake, Rayman Legends Retold, arrives later this year. In a brief response to a fan on social media, the official Rayman account wrote that the ‘original’ versions of the games would be ‘staying put.’

The platformer originally landed on Wii U in 2013, with ports landing on just about everything since, including a Definitive Edition on Switch. Retold is a full 3D retelling that adds new levels and sequences, and it’s scheduled for October 1, 2026 on Switch 2 and other platforms. Ubisoft made a similar promise about Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag’s original release when that remake was announced, so the company is at least setting a pattern.

A social media reply isn’t a binding contract, and Nintendo Life’s report adds its own ‘at least for now’ caveat right in the parentheses. Publishers have changed their minds about delisting before, and a tweet won’t stop them later. That said, an explicit public statement is more than most companies bother with, and it gives buyers something to point to if the situation changes. For now, it’s good news for anyone who still wants to play the original.
