WingMan Gamepad Announced

Logitech international market leader in human interface devices for PC gaming, introduces WingMan Gamepad, a sleek design which combines the speed and precision of digital technology with a form factor that provides both fire power and comfort.

WingMan Gamepad Announced is the story on November 2, 1998, and it is one of those late-1998 PC gaming updates that says exactly where the scene is right now. Logitech international market leader in human interface devices for PC gaming, introduces WingMan Gamepad, a sleek design which combines the speed and precision of digital technology with a form factor that provides both fire power and comfort. Available later this month at an estimated street price of $29.95.

WingMan Gamepad features an eight-way directional pad, a new grip that has been designed for comfortable play, nine buttons placed for easy reach, and two fast-action triggers. Built-in two-player connectivity, for games which support this feature, allow two players in the same room to compete directly against each other. Drivers and hardware updates are not glamorous, but when they fix a game or unlock a card you already paid for, they matter.
